How to become a millionaire by reading books? This is a fair and legitimate question that many of us are trying to find the answer to. That’ s right! Everyone will reply yes, and that’s true. But the question is, how does the mere act of reading books open the door to a good life?
As said above, yes! you can, but you must know that it is not done with a magic wand. You can’t read a book, put it down, take a nap and wake up and expect to find a huge amount of money in your account. It doesn’t work quite like that. It takes time and determination.
To make it happen we have found two ways in which you can achieve your dreams with book reading.
1- Make reading books your daily bread
You can get paid by reading books as a job, meaning that you earn money for every page you flip through. For example, you can offer your services as a proofreader, editor, audio book narrator, book reviewer, etc. Some of these services are best suited for those who are looking for an inexpensive side hustle that will allow them to earn some money. Others are potentially lucrative and can turn into a full-time job in publishing.
2- Grow your financial situation with what you read
All the books on success, money, economics, investing, business, self-help that you read help develop your mind your skills and enhance your knowledge and ability to make profits. Rubenstein co-founder of the Carlyle Group, one of the world’s largest private equity firms, when asked to identify the common trait shared by successful leaders, said, “They are improving their brains all the time. They are always reading, always learning more.”
Reading can’t make you rich all at the drop of a hat when you start practicing it. It is with its substantial content that you take in every day that you build your personality; you change your mindset and are able to see opportunities where no one else sees none. It is often said that the more you read the more you gain.
And to tell you the honest truth, many of the world’s richest people, from Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Elon Musk to even Oprah Winfrey, claim that reading books was the key to their success and continues to be.
In an interview for the New York Times, Bill Gates said he reads about 50 books a year, which is a lot for someone who, despite his busy schedule, manages such a dizzying amount of reading. Reading is, he said, “the main way I learn new things and test my understanding.”
And have no doubt that anytime someone asks Elon Musk how he learned to build rockets, he replies, “I read books.” and, that’ s true. He read thousands and thousands of pages to get where he is.
Warren Buffet in his HBO documentary, Becoming Warren Buffett, said, “I probably still spend five or six hours a day reading,” just because he used his habit of voracious reading to learn everything there was to know about every industry. Now you know how these big names became top heavyweights when it comes to reporting the biggest fortunes
No need to make a long speech. “Yes”, you can change your financial situation by reading the substances in the books whether you decide to do it for a paycheck or to develop your business mindset.
