Launched since 2019, by the company Huawei Technologies Côte d’Ivoire, the ICT Huawei competition of the 2021-2022 edition has seen the culmination of its final phase during the awarding of prizes to the winners of the Ecole Supérieure Africaine des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication ( ESATIC ).
The participation of 25 institutions in the said competition divided into 23 teams made happy winners in institutions such as the National Polytechnic Institute Felix Houphouet-Boigny (INP-HB), the Institute of Technologies and Specialties (ITES) and the African School of Information Technology and Communication (ESATIC).
The aim of this competition is to help the young Ivorian community in IT development, as well as the training of young recruits to whom, the doors of the Huawei company will open.
1- HUAWEI ICT Competition Côte d’Ivoire
Open to students from Bachelor 1 to Master 2, the competition aims at recruiting potential IT geniuses, who will be trained in order to increase the IT sector of the country and of Huawei.
Sponsored by the Minister of Digital Economy, Telecommunications and Innovation, Felix Roger Adom, the ICT Huawei Competition project is a training opportunity offered to young students in the field of ICT.
Indeed, following the radical evolution that has occurred in the field of information technology due to the Coronavirus, the digital fulfills most of the primary functions of the majority of countries. In order to be up to date, and to strengthen the development of employability and entrepreneurship.
According to local authorities, learning new communication techniques contributes to the values and abilities sought in professional and entrepreneurial life. The team will therefore be “supervised while benefiting from the best study conditions and the best computer equipment available.
The objective of Huawei ICT Competition is to improve the competitive spirit of young recruits in the job market and to fully participate in the development of the economy and resources of their country.
The competition will be held in several countries and will continue around the world, and says Mr. Etienne Liu “will continue in sub-regional competition that will oppose the lauretas of Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, Burkina-Faso and Benin.
2-ESATIC happy winner of computer equipment
The ESATIC (Ecole Supérieure Africaine des Technologies de l’Information et de la Communication) received from Huawei Technologies Côte d’Ivoire, a giant interactive screen, in order to improve the digital evolution.
This action was conducted as part of the innovation week of the said institution, during which, the company Huawei has strengthened ties with the school through its training programs.
The Deputy General Manager of the Huawei Group present in Côte d’Ivoire, Mr. Arman Pierre Noudegbessi, considers this generous act as a new solution against the effects of the Coronavirus. He said that in the face of the pandemic that hit the world in 2020 and continues to proliferate, “we need a new standard of living for individuals and organizations“, as the world has entered a new phase of industrial evolution and technology must be up to the world experiences.
In the same vein, Huawei Technologies Côte d’Ivoire, in partnership with the school, is working to provide ESATIC students with educational support through seminars, micro-programs, distance learning, videoconferencing, etc. …., which the company considers to be more or less adequate solutions to the proliferation of the virus in the world. During the exchanges, the results of the Huawei ICT competition were announced. The Ideahub, interactive screen, is the new acquisition of ESATIC, which according to its Director General, Professor Adama Konaté will be used for online courses.
